Despite the rain, carnival attenders have fun by socializing and exchanging tickets for prizes.

The community came together on Sharon’s bus parking lot on Friday, Oct 7th for the school’s yearly carnival. Planned by Sharon’s PTA, the event is a perfect time for families to enjoy time together and for kids to have fun by playing games such as mini-golf, playing on inflatables, and winning prizes.

The Sharon Carnival is also a great service opportunity for students. Lambert’s Key Club has always sent many volunteers, but this year, the high schoolers were joined by both Riverwatch and South Forsyth Middle School students. The large number of student volunteers helped the festival go smoothly.

Unfortunately, however, rain poured down onto the event this year. Most people ran for cover when the rain became severe, but when it lessened, many returned back to the festivities.
Some other interesting features about the carnival include: food trucks along with a concessions stand that provided delicious food, a long table that had tools and supplies for parents and children to create birdhouses or any other wood structure, and a local dojo that taught some basic martial arts moves.

Many games, stationed under a large tent, are manned by student volunteers. Their backpacks are piled near their stations.
