Thursday, September 11, 2014. The lights on the field turned on at 6:00 P.M. The game has started with a national anthem sung by a North Forsyth chorus student.

Lambert freshmen football team was ready to take down the North Forsyth Raiders. Unfortunately, the game was delayed due to lightning and rain. Everybody immediately evacuated to the gym for the safety of all of those at the game. After about 30 minutes, all athletes were back on the field. The crowd was going wild and kept the players moving forward. The cheerleaders and the parents stood in the same spot the entire game, showing off their pride for their school. The Longhorns scored 6 touchdowns throughout the whole game, which marked the final score. Raiders did try to catch up with one touchdown, but couldn’t help from falling behind constantly. During half time, all the cheerleaders from each school called a cheer to boost up the energy in the air. After the horn that marked the beginning of the third quarter had rung, everyone was back in the game. The attendants of the game cheered on the players to push themselves even further than they had gone. However, due to the weather issue, the last quarter of the game ended with 8 minutes remaining. The score was 42 to 7, leading the Horns to the victory. So far, the team has tied with West Forsyth, won against North Forsyth and South Forsyth, and is playing against the Chattahoochee Cougars next week. The game starts at 6:00 P.M. as always, on September 25th.
