9th grade literature students leave the campus to head back to Lambert.

The 9th grade literature classes went to the Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech on October 10th to watch the Encore performance, which acted out various classic poems and short stories.

With intricate costumes and dramatic acting, the actors and their performances captivated the students. These performances included reenactments of “The Raven”, “The Tell-Tale Heart”, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, “The Monkey Claw”, “The Necklace”, and “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.”

Afterwards, the students brought their packed lunches to eat on the campus. The students scattered themselves on the amphitheater, the grassy lawn, and around a fountain to eat with their friends.

They arrived back at school an hour before classes ended with a new experience of performances at the theatre. “The actors were amazing and the sets, music, and lighting helped pull the audience into the story,” student Suhani Madarapu says.
