EF Tours: The World is Yours
On April 4th, 2020, a group of Lambert students are embarking on an 11-day journey to the Meditteranean Coast with Madame Jackson and Señora Ziller.
For over 50 years, EF, which stands for Education First, has pioneered the movement for affordable travel. EF Tours’ slogan “guaranteed lowest price” lives up to its name. The company allows students to pay a portion of the price each month leading up to the trip. There are no surprise fees. EF Tours makes the bold promise that if you find a similar tour with a lower price, they will lower their price. The price includes transportation, breakfast, dinner, entry fees to tourist attractions, and activities such as biking. Local guides with degrees in art, architecture, and history lead the tours. Teachers can enjoy a stress-free trip as each group is assigned a bilingual Tour Director who arranges hotel and meal reservations and reveals hidden spaces in the city.
“The services that they provide are far above what other companies do,” Madame Jackson stated.
The Lambert students heading to the Meditteranean Coast will be enjoying an educationally enriching but enjoyable experience. EF offers numerous types of tours, some of which include: hands-on STEM experience, leisure, foreign language practice, community service, and leadership as well.
Teachers have the opportunity to earn rewards to fund classroom supplies and scholarships for students who wish to join an EF Tour through the Global Rewards program. EF sponsors four-day training trips for educators. The company meets teachers in their district so that they can browse through upcoming trips. At these events, teachers assist each other in finding students interested in joining an EF Tour.
Because EF Tours has high school accreditation, students may obtain high school credit for free. As for college credit, students may choose a question to answer while traveling that pertains to their interests. This educational program is known as weShare.
Parents may call the customer service hotline at any point during the trip. The number is 800-665-5364.
