Lambert HOSA takes on FLC
The world’s largest HOSA chapter, Lambert HOSA, took off from school and were Atlanta bound for the annual Fall Leadership Conference on November 7th. After the 45-minute trip to the city, the future health professionals were anxious to get to the hotel and begin their networking and learning experience. The advisors who attended, Tiffany Horn and Janice Kochevar, permitted a quick trip to Centennial Olympic Park for the students to spend the sunny afternoon throwing a Frisbee and relaxing in the chilly weather. The yearly Fall Leadership Conference allows students to engage in many different types of workshops that focus on HOSA’s theme of the year: mental illness.
The Lambert HOSA members began networking with other members from all across the state as soon as they arrived at the Marriott Marquis. Lambert proved to be the most spirited HOSA chapter at the opening ceremony, and the students diligently carried out their duties as responsible members, continuing to network and expanding their knowledge on mental illnesses. After countless workshops and the unforgettable dance, it finally came time for the closing ceremony, in which all of the Georgia HOSA members gathered one last time to conclude the annual Fall Leadership Conference.
