Atrium Restaurant Review
Inside the historic Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Georgia is the contemporary American eatery, Atrium. Its high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and stylish decor create a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the dining area provides a view of the open kitchen, which enhances the overall atmosphere.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Atrium and was blown away by the food and service. The menu includes small plates, salads, entrees and desserts, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. My dining companion and I started with the charred octopus. The octopus was tender and smoky, pairing well with the black garlic aioli.
For my main course, I went with a simple yet rustic pan-roasted salmon dish. The salmon was cooked to perfection, with a crispy crust and a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture. The saffron crispy rice cake had a creamy interior and complemented the delicate flavor of the salmon, while the coconut veloute added a tropical and refreshing twist. My dining companion ordered the Beef Ribs, which were juicy and flavorful. The sweet Pineapple Nuoc Cham sauce that it came with balanced out the dish perfectly.
Our server was attentive and informed us about the cuisine during the entire meal. They quickly refilled our drinks and cleared our dishes while making recommendations based on our preferences. Although the costs were on the higher side, the caliber of the meal and service made up for it.
I heartily recommend Atrium to anyone seeking a fine dining experience in Atlanta. The combination of locally sourced ingredients, creative flavor pairings and excellent service make for a memorable meal.
