Saved by the Bell!

The beloved show, Saved by the Bell is set to arrive back as a reboot in NBC Universal’s new streaming service, Peacock, around April 2020.

Although the show’s cast list is still up in the air, the confirmed stars set to return are as follows:

Even though many members of the original cast are still in negotiation to return to the revival series, Lark Voorhies, better known as Lisa Turner, has expressed her dissatisfaction on not receiving an invitation for the new series.

“I have to admit, I did feel a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to be a part of the ‘Saved by the Bell’ reunion, as other cast members,” Voorhies shares.

Despite the exclusion of Lark Voorhies, producers have scouted many new actors to join in the new episodes. Among the new additions are Mitchell Hoog and Belmont Cameli. Hoog is set to play as the handsome, privileged son of Zach Morris and Cameli is set to play as the captain of the football team and sensitive son to Jessie Spano.

Along with new cast members written in as family members to the original cast, there are completely new characters such as Daisy played by Haskiri Velazquez and Aisha played by Alycia Pascual-Pena.

Daisy is written to be an enthusiastic sophomore who is excited about her new high school and will be accompanied by Alycia, her competitive and spunky best friend.

This new spin off is promised to be an entirely new and inviting concept to new and returning viewers. The rough storyline is said to be about Morris, the governor of California running across multiple issues after shutting down too many high schools with low income. In order to prevent more havoc, Morris decides to place the affected students into the highest performing high schools in the area, thus creating a mixture of upper and lower class families.

The show’s new plot wishes  to combine the “underprivileged students” with the “privileged students” in efforts to create a comical balance showcasing the unreal lives of well off families versus the reality of middle to low class families.

Make sure to look out for Saved by the Bell’s reprise this April and stay tuned for many more hints and changes to the show’s structure!
