Ansh Raikhy: Creating New Memories on the Homecoming Court
Lambert senior Ansh Raikhy is excited to represent his class as part of the 2025 Homecoming Court. In the court he gets to participate in the pep rally, walking across the football field and the parade. The parade is what he is most excited for. For him, it’s not just about riding through on a float, it’s about going back to where everything started.
“I’m most excited to go back to Sharon and see kids in the elementary school I once loved to attend,” Raikhy said.
The Homecoming Parade rides around Lambert and Sharon Elementary. The middle schoolers from both South and Riverwatch also come out to watch and support. Each senior couple on the court gets their own float and Raikhy already knows what he’ll be riding in for the parade, and he couldn’t be happier.
“Best car in the world—my Jeep Rubicon,” Raikhy exclaimed.
Finding out he was on the Homecoming Court was a complete surprise, he found out through a friend, not knowing he was voted in. Even though he wasn’t expecting it, Raikhy is happy to have the chance to be recognized and celebrate with his classmates.
“Being on court means I get to wear a suit and look fly,” Raikhy said.
When it comes to showing school spirit, Raikhy is always ready to show his Longhorn pride. He supports Lambert through being part of Dead Red Nation (DRN), frequently going to games to cheer on his friends, and encouraging other students to come out and be part of the school community.
“I try to include everyone else who might not attend and encourage them to go,” Raikhy said.
He hopes that after graduation, he leaves a legacy as someone who made others feel important.
“I hope they remember me as more than a friend and someone who had a positive lasting impression on them and hopefully made everyone I met feel as special as they are,” Raikhy explained.
Going along with his legacy, he hopes to share advice to the younger students who look up to him. He wants underclassmen to know that they should always be their true selves and to get involved in school spirit.
“Embarrassment is the illusion of an audience in your head,” Raikhy said. “It’s an under-explored emotion—go make a fool out of yourself.”
From having top notch school spirit to leaving behind advice and memories for underclassmen, Ansh Raikhy is making the most of his senior year and making his mark at Lambert High School. Being a part of the homecoming court has added great memories to Raikhy’s high school experience.
