Over Spring Break of 2026, Lambert students will have the opportunity to see the beautiful sights of Costa Rica. The trip spans eight days over spring break, from April 4 to April 11, 2026. Students will take tours of the cities, visit hot springs and waterfalls, enjoy incredible food, zipline over the trees and live the “Pura Vida” lifestyle that makes Costa Rica unforgettable.
Students will be able to witness diverse lifestyles firsthand in this unique experience of cultural immersion. Experiencing other cultures is important for students to be exposed to.
Students will be traveling with Mrs. Dodds, Ms. Goode, Mrs. Mulvey and EF Educational Tours to create an memorable experience in a country where adventure meets beauty.
Harper Sellars, a sophomore at Lambert, has been to Costa Rica for mission trips in the past and is looking forward to returning. In her experience, there were things that she missed out on doing that she is excited to explore on this trip. While Sellars was helping with community projects on her previous journey, she wasn’t able to experience the recreational side of Costa Rica. She is looking forward to doing so this spring through this trip.

“I wanted to actually explore Costa Rica and see all of the sights and landmarks,” Sellars said. “This felt like a good opportunity to do that.”
Sellars believes that it’s important to see other parts of the world while traveling. Getting to experience the lifestyle of people with different cultures allows travelers to broaden their perspective and appreciate different ways of living.
“It’s important to take trips through the school to meet people,” Sellars believed. “Seeing how everything works outside of the United States feels like a different world.”
Students taking the trip to Costa Rica will experience the country’s rich culture, adventurous activities and life in a new country. They will not only explore beautiful landscapes, but also engage in traditions that make Costa Rica unique. Their social lives will grow as they share these experiences with classmates, forming relationships that can last a lifetime. Connecting with another culture in such an authentic way will help students better understand the importance of diversity and international understanding.
