Lambert High School conducted its first-ever Thanksgiving Pie Sale on November 17th, with the culinary arts program’s delicious sweet treats being offered for purchase. Featuring holiday staples and time-tested favorites such as pies, bundt cakes, cheesecakes and more, the first edition of the Pie Sale proved to be a major success in all regards.
“We worked for two weeks on this, including everyday in class…6-7 pies a class period,” Lambert culinary arts Director Chef Guerrasio said. “We made about 250 pies over two weeks and it was a really good effort on everybody’s part.”
“We sold about 250 pies…we had people come pick up all day on Friday, and I’ve only gotten good reviews.”
Clearly, the hard work and care put into each bake shone through, with students of the culinary pathway getting an opportunity to showcase their unique talents through traditional holiday fare. The pies were all sold out and drew acclaim from the happy customers.
