Lambert is a diverse school, and Lambert’s International Club, with help from the Model United Nations club, will be hosting an International Night to showcase others’ cultures. The event will be held on March 28, 2024, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Students and clubs will be holding booths to display their cultures. Students in charge of the booths are encouraged to wear their cultural clothing and bring interactive (or edible) activities that are relevant to the culture. Freshman Shruthi Shankar, secretary of the International Club, is encouraging students to bring a variety of cultural items for the booths.
“For our booths, we’re going to try to get people to bring in food from their cultures,” Shankar explained. “And any special artifacts and games people can try to play.”
Booths are not the only thing that will be at the International Night. Some clubs will also be performing. Lambert’s Agni Dance Club, a club focused on Bollywood fusion dance, will be performing a dance with ATL Aagaaz. There will also be a Korean Pop (K-pop) showcase and an Arab Rhythms performance.
This event is for appreciating each student’s different backgrounds and celebrating everyone’s history. So, to support the initiative, be sure to check out their booths and student performances during International Night.
