With the 2023-2024 school year drawing to a close, Lambert’s students have been working very hard on ending the year on a good note. In addition to trying to maintain their grades, many students have already started making goals for the next school year.
Many freshmen want to focus on maintaining their grades throughout their sophomore year to avoid worrying about their grades at the end of the year. Freshman Sharanya Raghavan plans on upholding good grades across all of her classes so that she can optimize her summer break.
“I want to have all A’s and be exempt from my finals,” Raghavan said. “I want to get off school early, so that I can go and do better things in my summer.”
Besides this, other students want to focus more on their skills and habits. Sophomore Ankita Jaikumar wants to improve her time management skills and get more sleep.
“I think the most realistic goal for me would be to be able to manage my time a lot better,” Jaikumar explained. “But, generally, I think I just want to be able to do all that I want to do in a short amount of time with enough sleep.”
Self-care is also a valuable goal for students, as it can promote both mental and physical health. As well as good health, taking care of oneself can also keep students motivated.
“I want to manage my time a lot better,” Sophomore Trishala Titti explained. “And I want to take care of myself better.”
Making goals is a good way for students to pace themselves and stay motivated. Whether it be for paying attention to oneself or studying for exams, all goals are beneficial and the right pacing can help students reach their ultimate objective. Have a great summer, Longhorns!
