On Friday, August 9, Lambert High School’s graduating class of 2025 celebrated in an annual Senior Sunrise event organized by Lambert’s Student Council. Students gathered on the football field at dawn to watch the sunrise, enjoy donuts and coffee and hang out with their classmates. With most seniors taking shortened schedules and having other commitments such as college applications, senior year classes and dual enrollment courses, many cherished the opportunity to catch up with friends old and new.
“A lot of us only take a few classes, so we don’t really see our friends or people that we’d normally see around,” Lambert senior Shiv Kolhe said. “Senior Sunrise was a great time to meet everyone and catch up since almost the entire grade was on the football field.”
Students were able to create lasting memories from an eventful morning, taking pictures and sharing laughs in the sunlight. Below are a few pictures below taken by Lambert’s very own!
As these students embark on their final year of high school, Senior Sunrise allowed for the senior class to reminisce on times gone by as well as look ahead to the future. This poignant start to the year is one of many events dedicated to the senior class, including a Senior Sunset and various holiday-themed occasions in the coming school year. All in all, Senior Sunrise served as the start of an incredible final year for Lambert’s graduating class of 2025, celebrating all they have accomplished and welcoming the accolades that are to come.
