“Moana,” a film about a brave girl who is chosen by the ocean to protect the heart of Te Fiti makes many friends including demigod Maui who comes along the way to bring balance to the world. The movie has a balance of emotion, humor, and adventure that is appealing towards all ages.
This new film coming out a year after the first has sparked fans to discuss how she plans to save her island. As Moana continues her exciting journey through many adventurous expeditions across her island and beyond as a leader fans are excited to see who she will meet and who will stand in her way.
Although Disney has kept the details about this sequel hidden and away from the public, there has been some sources of information discovered by eager fans on social media. Media channel Entertainment Tonight stated that this new movie will contain the adventure Moana has to take to save her village as she is their leader. She will need to take the skills she has learned in the first movie and prove that she can accomplish challenges beyond the ocean.
In the first film, Auli’i Cravalho played Moana when she was just 14 years old. Her voice is truly spectacular and has left people in awe. The same case for Dwayne, Johnson also known as “The Rock”, who will also be returning to play his role as Maui the demigod.
This film will be released by Disney and produced by David G. Derrick Jr., a very well known artist and the co-director of the films “Big Hero 6” and “Frozen 2”. Derrick Jr. has worked with Disney Animation for eight years, he always brings great ideas and has a talent for creating movies with passionate storytelling skills.
Disney’s promise to viewers is to produce even more positive insight from fans and watchers on the sequel than it did for the first film.
“I can’t wait to watch, it is going to be so exciting,” Lambert sophomore Lauren Rice said. “I am mostly excited to see new characters being introduced and the plot unfolding. ”
Whether you are a fan of Moana or a newcomer to the fantasy genre, this sequel is not one to miss. Alongside with new characters and voices, this film should be an absolute hit once again.
