While football season might be over, the action off the field still continues.
Seniors Cam Bland and Jackson Deloach committed to play their sport in college, signing letters of intent on December 4, 2024. Bland committed to Samford University, and Deloach committed to the United States Naval Academy.
Bland’s senior season ended with him setting school records for most career rushing yards and most touchdowns in one season. In addition, he won Offensive Player of the Year for the 6-6AAAAAA region.
He credits his belief in God as well as his coaches for his performances.
“They all had a defining impact on me, not only as an athlete but as a young man,” Bland said.
Bland also leaves as the all-time top scorer for Lambert Basketball, surpassing the record this season.
Deloach was recognized this past season for All-Region First Team Offense for the third time in his high school career.
When asked about his best piece of advice for athletes, Deloach’s answer was simple.

“Work hard and be a good teammate,” Deloach answered.
Both well accomplished, Deloach and Bland are sure to succeed at the collegiate level. While football season may be over, the rest of the team will continue to work hard and improve for the next year.
