This year, Lambert successfully sent another group of commits to play for their respective sports at the collegiate level. Commits had some words of encouragement and reflection from their years playing their individual sports.

Lambert Baseball’s Ethan Day and Rhett Howard committed: Day will play for the Reinhardt University Eagles, and Howard for the Georgia Highlands College Chargers.

“I just feel like I started from a really young age, a lot of people supported me throughout everything so I felt like I owed it to them to give it a shot,” Day commented.

Lambert Lacrosse has Kevin Connolly, Lukas Dopfer, Ian Kuysten and Katie Michaels as commits. Connolly will be playing for the Anderson University Trojans, Dopfer for the Long Island University Sharks, Kuysten for the Piedmont University Lions and Michaels for the Cavaliers at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise.

“His [Coach Travis Church] energy on the field and off the field just really made it worthwhile,” Michaels commented.

Lambert Soccer has two commits: Sydney Foy and Abbie Vogel. Foy will be playing for the Valdosta State University Blazers, and Vogel for the Liberty University Flames.

“I want to leave a positive impact and motivate every single younger athlete to just keep striving and keep pushing for what you want and what you believe in,” Foy commented.

Lambert Softball’s Hannah Cole, Hannah Cornetto and Ashley Fitts committed. Cole will be playing for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers, Cornetto for the Campbell University Camels and Fitts for the Truett McConnell University Bears.

“My role models were definitely my parents and coaches,” softball player Hannah Cole explained. “They pushed me to be the best that I could be all four years and helped me be committed to college.”

Lambert Swim has Erin Sattler set to play for the Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears.

Lambert Tennis has Aidan Atwood and Emily Baek committed. Atwood will be playing for the University of Georgia Bulldogs and Baek for the Columbia University Lions.

“I really enjoyed being a part of Lambert tennis,” Atwood explained. “I know some people, they don’t really participate in high school sports when they play at a high level, but I think it’s a great experience. I think it’s a lot of fun just being with friends.”

Congratulations to these Lambert student-athletes in the future!
