Unwavering Spirit: Corey Glogowski and Lambert Baseball
Lambert High School’s star baseball player, Senior Corey Glogowski, made significant contributions to the team’s success this season with an impressive record of 7 stolen bases and 11 runs.
Despite their best efforts, the Lambert Longhorns were defeated 13-1 by South Forsyth on Friday, March 24. Despite the fact that his final game for Lambert was a loss, he stated that he does not want his baseball career to be defined by his defeat. Despite the Longhorns’ devastating loss, Glogowski remained upbeat and encouraged his teammates.
“Never give up, no matter what,” Glogowski said. “Even if I won’t be here next year, I still have faith in you guys. Push forward and Lambert will win that championship one day.”
The players have remained optimistic throughout the seasons thanks to Glogowski’s leadership and support. He is adored by his teammates because of his never-give-up attitude.
A fellow senior on the team, Nick Blaszcak, described Corey as “one of the best teammates [he’s] ever had.”
Glogowski will face difficulties as he progresses through college. He is worried about the new environment he will be put in. However, there is no question that the leadership skills he has developed while playing for Lambert will propel him into a successful future.
