Inside Lambert Football

Lambert Longhorns, the 2014-2015 football season is well underway. We got a chance to sit down and talk to our new head coach, Coach Daniel, who has been leading the team since August. Coach Daniel says, “The most important responsibility of being the head coach is to stay organized for the whole football program. Jr. Longhorns, freshman, junior varsity and of course, the varsity teams of each grade levels are going in the right direction that leads to victory for each games.” Starting from the first day of Lambert’s door opened, Coach Daniel, a Spanish teacher here at Lambert, started coaching the football teams as an assistant. He says, “I got to meet more students as a teacher and not only players that I see as a coach. Whether they are athletes or not, I’m glad to have a chance to meet with them.” After waiting for a long time, he finally got to work as a leader with his colleagues that he’d been around awhile, even if it dragged him out of his time. The most important focus of the game is to play full football games, strong defense and keep improving. “I usually tell my boys to be disciplined, play smart and play hard,” says Coach Daniel.
