West Forsyth  has had a resurgence in their basketball program with clinching the opportunity at a region championship.

However, a late run by the Longhorns propelled them to a 23-19 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Longhorns blitzed West Forsyth and went up 37-19. West Forsyth stormed back with a ferocious attack and managed to go back up 42-37 at halftime.
