The area is a crown-jewel, tucked away and hidden for safety. Once you find your way in, the cute downtown area pulls a baited hook. We, the nearby and uninformed consumer population, are suddenly fish out of water, experiencing fresh air for the very first time (the fish is meant to be in shock from the amazing-ness).
