Oh the Places You’ll Go!

Seussical Jr. will be on show at Lambert High School from December 7th through December 10th.

Oh, all of the places you can go to in Lambert High School! The theater program’s performance, Suessical, a mashup of the most notorious Seuss stories. Incorporating characters from The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, and Yertle the Turtle, Seussical is guaranteed to create the most enjoyable experience for any audience member. “Just imagine that Dr. Seuss’ mind exploded onto a stage,” accounts sophomore Laura Baptie, a member of the ensemble.

Chris Kesserwani, a freshman playing Horton the elephant, explains that Seussical Jr. includes the Cat in the Hat telling the story of Horton, the main character, and his journey with the talking speck to JoJo, the son of Whoville’s mayor.

When bullied by Sour Kangaroo for being “crazy,” Horton perseveres and continues to preserve the lives he holds in his hands. With his newly found friend on the speck, they share their feelings of being “alone in the universe” and form a strong friendship. Sami Shadoff, a freshman playing Thing 1 in Seussical Jr.,  describes the story as “full of emotion and discovery,” and that “it is perfect for all ages to enjoy!”
