Self-Driving UPS Delivery Trucks
UPS has ordered 10,000 electric delivery trucks to be tested in Atlanta, Georgia for the possibility of a faster and more efficient delivery service.
With these new electric delivery trucks, UPS would be able to pick up deliveries and drop them off during the night as well as in the afternoon.
Although the trucks will be able to drive themselves, during the test runs there will be a driver to monitor the operations onboard the vehicle. These trucks are expected to be set out by 2025, and will also be deployed in Europe and North America.
UPS hopes that these trucks will be more efficient and quick when delivering packages to households all over the world. This new addition could change the world of deliveries for everyone.
