Stranger Things Season 4
Stranger Things Season 4 is releasing in late 2020 or early 2021, according to a recent notice on Production Weekly. The show caused an uproar in the fanbase, due to the bittersweet, yet unsatisfying ending of the third season.
*Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead*
There have been many wild speculations among the fans. From pondering about Jim Hopper’s death, the possibility of reintroducing characters, and the possible clues exposing the next season, fans have been going crazy.
According to Digital Spy, we might get a reintroduction to the character named Dr. Martin Brenner, the silver-haired man who experimented on Eleven. A Demogorgon attacked him in the first season, but we never really saw him die. As we know, Dr. Martin Brenner wasn’t exactly the most beloved character of the series, so that he could be a possible threat or antagonist in the fourth season.
Even Grigori, the mysterious Russian assassin who killed Alexi, might return to the show. Though the character did die a gruesome death in the third season finale, many, including the actor of the character himself, Andrey Ivenchko, thinks that the character has the potential to return.
“It’s sci-fi, you know, so things can happen. For now, what I know is he’s dead. But who knows?” says Ivenchko at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Believing in this idea leads many to wonder, who else can come back? Will anyone else come back? Also, why aren’t Eleven’s powers working? The suspense has fans at the edge of their seats.
Some theorize that Eleven can’t access her powers because of the bite on her leg.
“If Eleven is infected, the Mind Flayer could control her like it did with Billy, Will, and the flayed, to eventually destroy her or use her to get more control/spread,” says an anonymous Reddit user.
Many more theories similar to the one above have been circling. And though the season will come out at the end of next year, the fans’ excitement for the future has been quite extreme. So, as a fan myself, waiting will be excruciating, but I have high hopes for the fourth season.
