Ending the Volleyball Season With a Bang
The Lambert volleyball team has made this season one to remember and did not go down without a fight. For the first time since 2016, Lambert stuck it out until the Final Four tournament. With an outstanding record of 29-4 this season, the Longhorns humbly ended their season last Saturday.
Missing three starters, they managed to pull off a 3-0 sweep against Hillgrove landing the Longhorns a spot in the Final Four. During the Final Four, Lambert fell one game short of Alpharetta, ending their contention for the championship.
Some names worth mentioning were Taylor Nelson, who had twelve kills, thirteen digs, and a block, Molly Kate Patten, who had three blocks and six kills, and Miranda Hardin, who had twenty-one digs.
It’s been a long, successful season with many triumphs and defeats few and far between for the Lady Longhorns. They showed up on the court, put in the hard work and are excited for next year. Unfortunately, they will be losing nine seniors, but this will open up spots for new prospects and additions to the team.
