“Peter and the Starcatcher” Coming to Lambert High School
The show “Peter and the Starcatcher” is coming to Lambert High school on December 9th-11th.
The play is based on the novel written by Ridley Pearson which was later adapted into a play by Rick Elice. This is a prequel to Peter Pan so one can expect to witness the backstories of some of their favorite characters in this classic movie.
A group of orphan boys is shipped off to a distant island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. The boys have no knowledge of the mysterious trunk in the captain’s cabin, which stores important cargo. At sea, the boys are discovered by a courageous and insightful young girl. Molly is a star catcher who realizes that the trunk’s contents are star stuff, a celestial substance that must never fall into the wrong hands. As the ship is taken over by pirates – led by the fearsome Black Stache, a villain determined to claim the treasure for himself – the journey becomes an adventure of a lifetime.
Livi Wold, a senior, plays Molly in this show and is excited to finally be a lead in a production put on by Lambert High school.
“I have never been a lead before,” Livi exclaimed, “I can’t wait to share the story with everyone.”
Assistant director, Julia Hernandez, is very proud of her hard work paying off for this terrific show.
“I am so excited to see this show come together and our hard work finally pay off,” Julia said. “It has been really chaotic but I am finally seeing tech start to pay off so it should be great.”
The first 30 minutes of the show will be dedicated to the middle school production of Jungle Book. They have partnered with Lambert to be able to put on their shows for the Longhorns!
