This season of the “Bachelor” was memorable for many reasons. Matt James became the first Black man to become the bachelor in the franchise’s 25 seasons.

This season was rooted in drama, controversy, and tears. I would have to say that of all the seasons I have seen so far, this group of women was the most dramatic and intense group I have seen.

The star of the show, in my opinion, is Victoria Larson. My goodness, Larson should have stayed longer. Not because she was deserving, not because she was kind, but because she consistently reminded me that reality TV shows are crazy and honestly a waste of my time. That made me want to watch it even more. She walked in, wearing a crown and a sash, and I knew at this moment that she would bring the spice and the drama to the season.

What I was not expecting was Debby-Ryan-look alike, Anna Redman to be the real mean girl. During her first impression, she seemed thoughtful and brought James a ‘stress kit’. Later, she starts the drama that marks the beginning of the end and has no valid excuse. Redman starts a rumor about another contestant, embarrassing her, and ruining her reputation. This is unacceptable. Another girl from the house, Katie Thurston, told James about the drama, raising tensions. James ended up kicking Redman, Larson and MJ Snyder off of the show for cultivating drama and toxicity in the house. This was such a good decision and you could tell the next day that things felt lighter.

After the ‘Women Tell All’ episode, I can say is that James missed out. There were so many women this season that were mature, smart and beautiful women. For example, Serena Pitt, Magi Tareke and Abigail Heringer, were my favorites off of this season. The woman that I want to be the next Bachelorette is Heringer. She won the first impression rose, but then was neglected since James believed they already had a strong connection. This OBVIOUSLY weakened their connection and Heringer was eliminated. She was not a part of any drama, always had a smile on her face and truly cared about James.

“I’m constantly like, that person that makes men realize what they want next, but they never want that with me … it’s a hard pill that I’m gonna have to swallow,” Heringer said in the car on the way home. She had just gotten kicked off and it broke my heart. She deserves to find love!
Many people love Heringer for her positive attitude and inspiring story, and want her to be the next bachelorette. Christine Brick, an avid “Bachelor” watcher commented on this.

“Abigail would make a great bachelorette because she is so inspiring and deserves love because she is so sweet!” Christine Brick stated.

Who will be the next Bachelorette? Only time will tell, but along with many others, I personally hope it is Heringer.
