Support Forsyth County Schools with AmazonSmile
Forsyth County Schools have partnered with AmazonSmile this holiday season to generate donations for “FoCo.”
AmazonSmile is a program that donates 0.5% of your purchases on Amazon to a charity of your choice. Amazon has donated over $286 million to charities around the world, including The Nature Conservancy, St. Jude’s Research Hospital and Doctors Without Borders.
Smile.amazon.com claims,
“Experience feel-good shopping — Shop at smile.amazon.com and we’ll donate to your favorite charitable organization, at no cost to you.”
AmazonSmile allows customers to give donations as well as supply products. Without any hidden fees or costs, Amazon will donate 0.5% of FCSchoopurchases to your selected charity. Additionally, thousands of charities have created AmazonSmile Lists of items they need. AmazonSmile encourages users to order some of their requested items as an act of generosity.
AmazonSmile has summarized participating into three, simple steps:
- Choose a charity from over one million local and national organizations.
- Shop through the charity’s personalized smile.amazon.com link.
- AmazonSmile will donate a portion of the price of your purchases to the selected organization.
“AmazonSmile is a wonderful organization,” Nicole Moon, a sophomore at Lambert High School, said. “I think this is such an easy way for people to give back to charities they care about.”
The AmazonSmile program represents charitable giving at its best. It’s an act of benevolence woven into our daily lives. During the season of giving, consider shopping through the Forsyth County Schools AmazonSmile link to support our schools and their many endeavors.
Your donation will help support The Lambert Post, Lambert High Schools student-run newspaper! Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover website hosting costs.
