On Wednesday March 29th, the Lambert track team won the 5-AAAAAAA junior varsity region championship. Both the girl and boy sides of the track team took first place in the meet out of the six total schools that participated- Forsyth central, Lambert, Milton, North Forsyth, South Forsyth, and West Forsyth.

The team’s head coach, Coach John Mccormick, detailed the championship as an “outstanding meet.” Coach Mccormick also explained to me that “the team really came together for the win on both the boys and girl side.”

“Overall the meet was really fun, but it was also pretty competitive,” says student-athlete Madelyn Clare. “Even though there was some stiff competition I placed pretty well overall.” She further elaborates that this meet specifically was a “great end to a great season, given all of work the team as a whole put in.”

Lambert track and field displayed how hard work, dedication and drive make success a reality.
