As a way to melt away midterm stress, Lambert’s Doctors Without Borders (DWB) Club recently hosted a “Hot Cocoa Social” this past Wednesday. This gathering gave students an opportunity to socialize with each other and build connections with other members.

“The motivation behind the hot chocolate social was to hold a fun event for all students, where they can treat themselves to a nice hot chocolate,” Treasurer Arushi Singla explained. “It is also a great way to interact with other students in the school to combat the stress of midterms!”

Doctors Without Borders is an international club that strives to promote medical aid in local communities. Lambert’s chapter is the first high school branch in all of Georgia.

“DWB is a great club that allows students at Lambert High School to dive deep into the healthcare realm as a high schooler,”Arushi Singla stated. “This entails volunteering, socials, fundraisers, and guest speaker sessions with a wide variety of different healthcare professionals.”

Lambert’s DWB chapter plans on hosting more social events in the second semester for students to interact and learn more about the club.

“Although not finalized, you can expect to see more guest speakers and fun socials, including a possible Valentine’s Day fundraiser,” Singla said. “We will also be opening up the officer application process for the next school year!”

Passionate students of healthcare should definitely consider joining the organization. The club’s dedication to advancing health care services and offering a variety of engagement opportunities emphasizes its role in shaping the future leaders of medicine.
