As a way to foster cultural awareness and celebrate the rich tapestry of global traditions,  On March 28, the International Club at Lambert High School is gearing up for an extraordinary International Night.

Founded in the middle of this academic school year, Lambert International Club is dedicated to promoting inclusivity, cultural exchange and unity among students from various backgrounds.

Junior Maya Baly works as the social media officer for the International Club. She is assisting in organizing this event and is very excited about the activities that the club has planned.

“Through lively events and practical initiatives, we hope to create a society where the richness of various traditions can thrive, promoting unity and respect among people from different backgrounds,” Baly stated.

International Night is set to be a spectacular festival, bringing together a number of clubs and teams in Lambert to celebrate traditions from around the world. The event promises to be an enchanting evening filled with performances, cultural tables, international cuisines and music.

To make the night truly representative of global diversity, the club has partnered with the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Lambert branch of UNICEF. This collaboration aims to enhance the impact of the event by incorporating different perspectives and resources.

Students are encouraged to participate by signing up for performances or setting up cultural booths. Forms for booth and performance sign-ups are available until February 15. This initiative not only allows students to showcase their heritage but also encourages active participation in promoting cultural unity and understanding.

The main venue for the International Night is the school cafeteria, with a plan to host performances in the same space.

“It’s a great way to celebrate and learn about different cultures from around the world,” Baly said. “It’s a chance for students to showcase their heritage and traditions and for everyone to come together and appreciate the diversity in our school. Plus, it’s just a lot of fun!”

While International Night is currently in the spotlight, Lambert International Club has plans to organize more events in the future. At the moment, the focus remains on making the upcoming celebration a success. With its dedication to promoting unity and cultural appreciation, Lambert International Club is set to leave a mark on Lambert High School.
