As Lambert’s seniors bid farewell to their high school years, many have chosen to take a trip back into the past, attending graduation walks hosted at their old middle and elementary schools.

The walks, which took place on May 13 of this week, allowed seniors to reflect upon their beginnings and how far they had come.

The schools were as followed:

  • Brookwood Elementary
  • Johns Creek Elementary
  • Settles Bridge Elementary
  • Sharon Elementary
  • Riverwatch Middle School
  • South Forsyth Middle School

Lambert senior Hanming Sun was one of many who was able to visit his old middle school, Riverwatch, alongside old-time friends.

“It brought back the nostalgia and memories from middle school,” Sun explained. “I also got to meet my old friends that went to other schools like Alliance.”

Wearing full caps and gowns, the seniors took pictures along the way. Some seniors took pictures of now in comparison to then (pictures from when they were in middle or elementary school), and some even got the opportunity to meet up and take pictures with former teachers.

“I got the chance to say hi and take a picture with Mr. McGee, my [former] band director,” Sun exclaimed.

As the end of the year approaches, so does the graduation of our seniors. The official graduation will be taking place at the Gas South Arena on May 19 at 7:30 p.m. Seniors are required to arrive at 5:30 p.m., and guests can enter at 6:30 p.m. if they have a ticket given to them by a senior, so make sure to cheer on your fellow graduating seniors as they move on to the next chapter of their lives!
