The Lambert Color Guard Spectacularly Spinning Into This Year’s Season

With over four championships under their belt, Lambert’s Colorguard is lighting up the football field with their bright colors and their brilliant dance moves. They are here to impress and entertain at half time football shows and competitions. With busy practices and a lot of hard work, the Lambert Color Guard brings the marching band’s music to life and adds an enchanting element by combining dance and flag spins.

Preparing for the season includes design meeting and a two week band camp which happen before school begins. “At Lambert High School we are all year round, so typically we are starting to plan each season about three months in advance,” said Katie Pacifico.

Color Guard practices often and works hard at each practice. “Colorguard practices on Monday by themselves, and Tuesday and Thursday for three hours, and on Saturdays we have creative days were we practice by ourselves.” Mrs. Pacifico states. They practice for very long hours in preparation for their breathtaking performances.

Cologuard is a close-knit group with family values and a loving environment. They not only perform with each other, but they also spend time together and lift each other up.

“Colorguard is just a really loving environment I always learn something new every time I’m there.” Jessica Pham said; Pham is a sophomore at Lambert and this is her second year on Lambert’s Colorguard.

Colorguard’s recognition has grown in the most recent years. Now, when students the colorful flags with the marching band, they know exactly where they are coming from. Students can see Colorguard at every football game and Winterguard at the pep rallies. The Colorguard is gearing up for this season and the Lambert Post is excited to see their performance.
