Throughout the years, Lambert soccer has had success on regional, state and national levels. They collectively hold two national championships, four state championships and 13 region championships.

Through an astounding program history, Lambert soccer has only added to that with the boys varsity team winning 16 games with just one tie and one loss this season.

Rohin Patel, one of the defenders for the junior varsity boys team, gave an overview on how the season has gone for the teams.

“Lambert soccer has been doing very well [sic] at all levels,” Patel explained. “The junior varsity and varsity teams both won the region championship game this year.”

On March 24th of this year, the boys team defeated West Forsyth with a final score of 8-0, winning a seventh region championship title.

The boys and girls teams persisted, gaining experience not only from their wins but also their losses. They are closing in on the finish line of the season and will be having their last games against Wheeler High School.

Near the end of the season, both the boys and girls soccer teams competed in the Southern Coast Cup in Alabama. Lambert soccer won all three of their games in this fun competition, so make sure to check out their Instagram, and congratulate them!

In terms of next year, the players already have their goals set on winning another state championship. With support from experienced coaches and peers, the community can expect a great performance by the Lambert soccer teams.

“Varsity is looking for a state title again,” Patel said. “The atmosphere we play in and the support we get definitely makes the team and program special.”

This year, the teams have performed well, capitalizing on their successes and failures. With the season coming to a close, make sure to look out for what the results are for their game against Wheeler High School. Students can expect another great season next year as Lambert soccer takes on the challenge to make regional, state and national success.
