On January 22, 2026 senior Tight End Bryce Flynt announced his commitment to further his academic and athletic career at Berry College in Rome, Georgia at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III level.
Flynt chose Berry because he fell in love with his future teammates and the positive atmosphere around the campus along with the opportunities that await him.
“It felt like home and I was looking for a well rounded academic school that was close to home,” Flynt noted.
Flynt is grateful for his family members who have supported him during his recruitment process. He is specifically grateful for his twin sister, Abby Grace Flynt, who is committed to Xavier University for lacrosse, and his dad.
“My dad helped me the most because he has always pushed me to be better in everything,” Flynt shared.
Staying disciplined in his athletics and academics helped Flynt achieve his goals of playing at the collegiate level.
“I continue to stay disciplined by waking up everyday, working out, and going to school and being active in the classroom,” Flynt mentioned.
Along with staying disciplined, Flynt had to make sacrifices such as quitting other sports in order to pursue football.
“I quit playing baseball, which I loved and played since I was six in order to work on football and getting better,” Flynt explained.
Throughout his experience, Flynt learned how to keep working even when things became difficult and shared some advice to younger teammates and athletes.
“Just work hard and never give up on something you love and if it is truly something you want to pursue and be successful at then put your head down and keep working,” Flynt mentioned.
